What are All-On-X Dental Implants?

The All-On-X Dental Implant procedure, also referred to as "Teeth in a Day," provides patients with the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive dental transformation in just a single day. This innovative approach involves the removal of remaining teeth, the placement of implants, and the restoration of a fully functional smile. Not only does this procedure significantly improve the aesthetic appeal of patients' smiles, but it also revitalizes their overall perspective on life. Many individuals grapple with issues such as severe tooth decay, deteriorating dental conditions, and fractured teeth. For these individuals, the All-On-X Dental Implant procedure represents an optimal solution to attain a fresh smile and address longstanding dental concerns.

Offers the most natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing results, closely resembling the appearance and texture of natural teeth.

How it Works

This procedure entails the extraction of any remaining teeth, the placement of 4-6 implants per arch, and the attachment of a low-profile bridge to these implants. The strategic positioning of implants at specific angles helps avoid the patient's sinuses, negating the necessity for costly bone grafts and prolonged healing periods.

Our doctor has refined the traditional All-On-X Dental Implant procedure through personalized modifications based on their expertise and insights, yielding even more favorable outcomes for patients. At Indiana Dentures and Implants, we conduct comprehensive evaluations for each case, tailoring treatments to suit the individual patient's anatomy. Your doctor will implant between four and six implants per arch, and temporary fixed bridges will be installed while your implants integrate with your jawbones and your mouth heals. Upon completion of the healing process, the doctor and lab technician will craft your final teeth using zirconia. This material boasts significantly greater strength compared to the typical acrylic denture teeth offered by other dental practices. Additionally, zirconia presents a more natural and lifelike appearance, offers heightened hygiene, and resists staining. Consequently, these teeth exhibit an extended lifespan and superior aesthetic appeal compared to the acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges commonly found elsewhere.

frequently asked questions

Yes! However, while your implants and teeth are securely placed from day one, we do ask that you maintain a soft diet during the 4 month healing period. What exactly does that mean? A good general rule is you can eat anything you can cut with a plastic fork. The reason for this is that you are investing in something that could last you many decades, even the rest of your life, and maintaining a softer diet during the healing period will allow the best integration of your implants into your bone and help ensure the best long-term outcome.
Our final bridge is made of zirconia, which offers superior strength and resistance to staining and wear compared to traditional acrylic All-On-X teeth provided by many other offices. It is important to be aware of the type of teeth you will receive if you choose another office. If you opt for acrylic denture teeth with a titanium bar, expect staining around your teeth and the need for replacement every 5-10 years. Additionally, ensure you are well-informed about the costs involved in the surgery, temporaries, and final teeth. Some offices may initially charge a surgery/temporary fee, only for you to later discover an additional $5,000-$15,000 is required for your final teeth.

All-On-X Dental Implant Procedure Timeline

1
Mouth Impressions
The laboratory utilizes these impressions to fabricate your temporary implant bridge(s). In some cases, a wax try-in may be recommended by the doctor if you are missing all or most of the teeth in the treated arch. This involves creating a mock-up of your temporary implant bridge to assess bite position, aesthetics, and other factors.
2
Procedure
Extract any teeth if necessary, then proceed to implant placement followed by the placement of temporary implant bridge(s). The procedure generally lasts between 4 to 7 hours.
3
Post Op #1
The day after the procedure, we'll conduct a check to monitor healing progress and address any questions or concerns you may have.
4
Post Op #2
Three weeks post-procedure, we'll remove sutures, assess healing, and typically, patients are cleared to start using a water flosser or WaterPik at this appointment.
5
Impressions for Final Teeth
4 months after procedure
6
Try In
Between 5 to 10 days after impressions, we will present a mock-up of your final teeth for your review. In some instances, multiple wax try-ins may be necessary. It's crucial to ensure your satisfaction with these try-ins before proceeding with processing, as once processed, changes cannot be made. If alterations are requested after approval and fabrication, a full-cost remake charge will apply.
7
Seat Final Teeth
Once you have approved your wax try-in(s), it usually takes 4-6 weeks before your bridge or bridges are prepared for seating.
